rockitman: I found the mouse u caught the other day inside my exhaust tips.
Jenner: thank you for the information!! I will try to take away the mats first, let it run for a week and if I still smell the same thing, I will check the leaking. The turbo is stock.
Fawaz: lol! you gotta try that fruit tart, I bet you will eat it in your DB9

hey guys... i also do get a wierd smell when i first turn on my AC. I also do have the exactmats, however my car is pretty much stock besides being droped. As far as I can remember, I was getting the smell before the mats also.... I dont see how the mats would be cuasing the odor in the AC?
The smell is just there for a little bit then goes away, usually more on hot days. Please let me know if anyone finds a solution to this.

That's another person mentioning the mats...
Don't forget that just because you have the AC on doesn't mean it is only blowing fresh air. The fresh air is causing the rest of the air in your cabin to move around and circulate. Or if you have it on recirc mode, then it is just blowing around the same stinky mat air.
As LaCayenne noted it smells usually more on hot days. This is probably because the heat and light from the sun is causing the plastic mats to oxidize(that might not be the right word) and give off plastic chemicals over time. This is simlar to the dirty haze on the inside windshield caused by dashboard plastics doing the same thing in the sun.
I think you guys should try taking ditching the mats for a week or forever

jenner: you may be right, my girlfriend puts something to keep her car smells good (girly smell) and she just put it on mine yesterday and I do not smell that "****" anymore. Also when I first got the exactmats, it did not smell bad until a couple weeks after. If the exactmats is the problem causing the smell that means Kirby smells like the mats since he has no exactmats on the car. Am I right? wrong?
