Looking to add alcantra headliner? and possibly dash
Does anyone know of any places near boston that do good reputable interior work. And has anyone in here upgraded to an alcantra or suede headliner.
I've just been in a few cayennes wth this option and it looks awesome. I have headliner envy. Also I wish I had the full leather interior with the wrapped dash and all. It looks amazing. Is it evn possible to have the dash wrapped in leather or alcantra.
The headliner and dash I have now just looks kind of cheap compared to these.
So if anyone has any reccomendations, or if anyone knows if someones done this let me know.
Thanks.

Yeah I'm looking into a few upholsterers in the area. Most of the good ones seem to be in california or NY. If anyone knows of a reputable place near boston/new hampshire, let me know! I will update if I get it done.

I ordered my '05 S with "full" leather and tried to get Porsche to built it with the turbo's Alcantara headliner and pillars. They wouldn't. Kept saying, that
as the truck was optioned, it was only a little bit more to get a turbo. Their minds were blown by the thought of someone purposely, not wanting a turbo.
Anyway...
I pursued other options. Sadly, I couldn't find any (local-ish) upholstery shops which I felt could correctly duplicate a factory appearance.
So, I went with the real deal and had a "sponsor" dealer order a full factory Alcantara package. It was an extensive parts list... my car's black interior
was gray from the windows up, so all the grey plastic bits needed to be replaced with black ones.
Parts and installation ran about $4,000. Before you fall over... I still feel it's the best money I've spent on the truck!
She's still my daily beater; works out to only a few bucks a day.
If this is an option you're interested in, let me know and I'll provide you additonal information.

I believe the Turbo gained the Alcantara headliner as standard equipment in mid 2004.
Back then, buying a turbo was the only way to get one factory installed in your Cayenne.
I'd imagine it's an available option across the range now?

I believe the 08 - 10 GTS's (currently the only years for Cayenne GTS's) came with the alcantara headliner as standard equipment as well as the turbo - at least U.S. models (perhaps not true for other regions). I know all the GTS's that I've ever seen has had it.
