Staggered Tire sizes for 22" wheels
OK, so the wheels have been chosen.
22x9.5 front
22.10.5 rear
the tire sizes I'm looking at right now are 265/35r22 and 295/30r22
Does that sound right?
Using a tire/rim size calculator, the tire diameter will be 29.3" in the front and 29" tall in the rear.
I would like to run a taller tire, especially in the rear to mitigate wheel damage from any potholes and junk. Could I get away with 265/40r22 and 295/35r22?
Thanks guys!

305/35/22 all the way around. Technically speaking, I mispoke; it is 30.4" in diameter
Yes, that is one reason I use them is to fill the tire gap when lowered using the Techart Lowering Module. The other reason is the added sidewall height make for a smoother ride and absorbs/protects against potholes much better.
When parked, at the right angles, it looks questionably stanced.
As an example, here are a couple of pics of my winter wheel setup 30.04" in diameter; just a hair shorter. Also, these are the most narrow 20" diameter wheels I could find since narrow is better in the slippery conditions.
I think you mean they run 315 in rear only; they could not run this in the front on 22s. As I already mentioned, I run these 305 all the way around so I can still rotate the tires. If you wanted, you could put 325/335 in the rear; you just cant rotate the tires anymore.
