Recommended manual for cayenne turbo s
#2
No 'cause there isn't one. There are some scanned and PDF'd copies of the official Porsche service manual being sold illegally on Ebay (copyright) - but other then that - forums are your best friend.
I'd suggest joining (any paying for) www.renntech.org - Loren subscribes to the Porsche TSB system and all the "Technical Service Bulletins" are available to paid subscribers. Worth every penny of his annual subscription fee.
The three top Cayenne forums IMHO:
1 - This one - good group, some technical threads, and some off the wall ideas on mods if you're into that sort of thing. Very good for stuff like the audio system and what mods/systems work with it.
2 - Renntech.org - primarily technical - great resource if you're into DIY. Has a nice sticker for your car.
3 - Rennlist.com - some tech - great group and lots of funny banter. Home of the "PigPen" - for those of us dumb (or brave) enough to own a Cayenne. Great T-shirt if any are available.
BTW - the Ebay illegal copies of the Porsche factory manual. Somewhat useful, but repetitive (if they describe taking something apart to get to another part - that procedure will be endlessly repeated whenever anything related to any part in the area is covered..) and somewhat flawed - some photos/illustrations in the manuals are completely WRONG (from other sections and pages) making those sections almost useless. Pretty much a you get what you pay for thing. Be prepared to spend a few hours wading through it to get to any description of work you might want to do, and then find a lot missing and a lot thats irrelevant.
