CEL and rough idle 5 months after coils/plugs
My 06 Cayenne V6 is starting to annoy me...
It's got about 80k miles on it... it's had the cardan shaft, few sets of brakes and rotors and 5 months ago replaced coils and plugs. Other than it's been a decently reliable ride for 6+ years.
But today I'm stopped at a light and the idle goes rough and the CEL comes on.
If the dealer quotes me more than $1000 we're heading to the BMW dealer...

The V6s sometimes have a problem with water draining off of the hood directly onto the #6 coil. Pull that coil, and see if the spark plug looks rusty. You may be looking at just one coil/plug, which really shouldn't be too expensive.
