Question How to distinguish legitimate Techart wheels?

A local shop put me in touch with an 2006 Cayenne owner that is selling a set of 22" Techart wheels. The shop will not get involved because we are both service customers.

I looked at them briefly while still mounted on the CT but I am apprehensive about the wheels possibly being the popular Techart "style" replicas.

How can I distinguish the real wheels from the replicas? The asking price is $3500.

Techart logo is stamped large on the front bottom face of each wheel. I don't believe there is a replica of that wheel made. Also $3500 is a bit steep for a used set, I've seen sets on eBay for $2-$2500 range. Of course tire condition matters.

$3500 is too much, I had a chance to buy a set for $1600, but the tyres needed to be replaced soon, so I went for new OEM GTS wheels. Other than that they were pretty much perfect, no marks.

Thanks for the input. I thought the price was a bit steep but the owner did tell me to find out what they are selling for and he would be reasonable.

I saw your wheels for sale and it is tempting because I do want the sensors, but unfortunately I am not looking for black wheels. I must admit they do look great on black vehicles.
