Things I don't like about my 2010 V6

I purchased my V6 two years ago.

A few things I don't like:
1. Have to press and hold volume in order to turn radio off.
2. AC - I have to manually turn it on (up) and turn if off (several clicks down). Anyway to retrofit to auto AC?
3. No back up camera.
4. No auto head light. An option that is not on mine.

Other than these, I am happy with it. It drives well, very solid.

What's your opinion on the acceleration from stand still and while powering around others while traveling the fwy at 65-70 mph?

Even though it's a V6 but I feel I have enough power getting to speed from standing still. I drive fast, I usually do 80 or so on freeway. Overall I am happy with it. Just little things I would expect them to have on a $60,000 car (option or standard).

Certainly items 2, 3 and 4 ARE options (ie - you pay for them).. dunno what's up with item #1. The 2.1 PCM turns off by pressing the volume **** once. Turns on the same way.

I can understand Porsche can ask for every little thing to be an option when it has the upper hand. Then 2, 3, 4 should be on every car that they make unless someone orders a stripped down Cayenne.

What they did was taken out stuff that is on most 60k dollar car or even 30k dollar car. Without 2, 3, 4 my car feels dated.

Very true - they charge you for everything.. but that's true of most German cars.. BMW does the same thing, the reason you don't notice it as much is the dealers usually order the cars loaded up, so the price you see includes "packages" that provide all the nice things you feel should be standard.

The $30k cars - dunno which ones you're referring to - but the Hundai/Kia cars do come loaded up with all the goodies to compete with BMW/Porsche/Mercedes. You can bet when they have enough market share all those little nice things will be bundled into packages that become manditory, and you'll be paying for them.

The business of car companies is to make money.. and they try to think of every way they can to do so. Porsche is particularly good at it since they have a cache' and reputation they can charge for. Doesn't mean the car is any better then the $30k ones that come loaded up - it just means you're willing to pay what Porsche wants for whatever reason floats your boat.

And if the dealer does - he'll pass along the cost. $60k is pretty much a stripped down new Cayenne..
