Culprit of Torque Converter Seal? Coolant Pipes or T's?
Can someone clarify which one of these two are the culprits of the torque converter seal issue?
is it the exploding coolant pipes under the intake manifold or the plastic T's between firewall/engine?
The reason why I asked is I had to replace the T's today and coolant leaked out while uninstalling the T's in the back of engine

Theoretically, it could be either, since coolant could be leaking down through the bellhousing onto the converter. I don't really buy into the theory that the coolant kills the torque converter seal though, since many Cayennes have had leaky converter seals prior to the coolant pipes leaking, and coolant itself has fairly good lubricity, so I don't see it destroying a seal like that very easily. In any case, it would take more than a small dousing of fluid to kill that seal if it weren't ready to go already.
