Performance intake filter system

Does this really helped the CTT breath better? Anyone used this kind of system on there CTT? Do you notice any difference? Thanks in advance.

Sjt0017 is infamous around these parts
"Cold" air intakes are mostly just the guard that makes the intake take air from the fenders and not so much from the engine bay, which I don't see in the ad you posted. Minimal Hp gain from intakes alone, but paired with a plenum upgrade you could see upwards of 40 Hp. For $200 I'd say it's worth a shot since all others are $400-700 though, and the plenums I've seen from our vendors on here for $850-$900.

I am not going to buy this. I was hoping someone from the forum have modified their intake similar to this ad and what are the result. It's just interesting to see other manufacturing would charged an X amount of money when it's worth less than what it is.

I've read a lot of reviews on here from members that did an intake-only upgrade, and most noticed a slight power increase on the low end. I'm doing my 2nd cat bypass and exhaust install next weekend and the next mod will be cold air intake and intake plenum upgrade; intake + exhaust upgrades complement each other perfectly. More intake airflow, more exhaust airflow.

The intake is a good upgrade either way, but it will still be somewhat restrictive because you'll have the secondary cats adjusting to have the same amount of exhaust flow.

On the price of the intakes that are on the market, I'm right there with you man. Two cone intakes and some piping for $695? You can buy 2 K&N intakes at Pep Boys or Autozone for $50 each, so we're paying $600 for some very easily made mendrel bent piping and shield? I guess that's the "Porsche tax" you pay to upgrade a very nice vehicle. Leistung has the most affordable one I've seen at $400, and the powerkit upgrade is only $695, and it includes the 2nd cat bypass pipes. I think that's the best bang for the buck company to go through for our trucks.
