Techart Exhaust Tips Head Scratcher

Hey folks!
Just a question, bought some Techart exhaust tips and were told they would fit the 957 GTS. However, when I went to install, I noticed the muffler has two pipes coming out to the pipes, however, the tips have only one.

Potentially a really dumb question, however doing as much research as possible, even googling "Porsche Cayenne GTS exhaust tips" yields the same type I bought.

Am I missing something here?

Thanks,

DP

Pic is of what I purchased.

So you're stating your stock tips have two separate pipes? I do know the 955 is a single which those will fit.

Hey Kevin. Yes, you are correct. Apologies for my fumbled words. My muffler and tips both have two pipes coming from them, whereas the Techart tips have only one. I am assuming that these will fit any 955 or 957 Base or S. Which sucks due to grabbing them at a great price!

Yes it sounds like they won't work, I just picked up a brand new set off eBay as well, snap a pic and show us underneath if you can.

A good muffler shop could adapt those very easily to your exhuast pipes

But is it worth it? I mean, the tips cost me $200 (CDN)which I know is a great price. Would you happen to know the rough associated costs w modding it to work? Also, any ramifications? Why would the GTS have the two pipes if only the one would suffice?

Maybe your GTS has a sport exhaust of some sorts that is different from the regular exhausts. At least that is the case for 997.2.

"Worth it" is relative. To me, no. I wouldn't spend the money good tips cost, let alone adding in installation, when the vehicle comes with great tips. Especially when some body work is frequently needed to properly fit after-market tips. However, different people make different modification decisions. Yours will differ from mine, and likely mine from yours.

Oh I totally agree w you both. I know the only positives for me was the aesthetic look of them, and the minimal cost of purchase. However, I knew that the increase in power with them is non existant. Also, they seem very easy to install (if you purchase the correct ones for your model!).

The seller was so gracious as to allow me to send them back to him for a full refund.
