Transporting CTT with air suspension

Is there anything that needs to be taken into consideration when transporting a CTT with air suspension?

Mine will be transported across country soon. It will go on top of a transport vehicle and will be making its way like that. I assume they will fasten it to the bed/flooring of the vehicle. Wonder if air suspension needs override, and if there is anything else.

Thanks.

I'd put the air ride in service mod, all you do is put it to it's middle setting then once it's there hold the lever up until it says service position or something.

I'd leave it alone. It is after all designed to control the weight of the Cayenne bouncing around. That doesn't change sitting on a trailer. Let it do its job.

Locking it out was designed to reduce suspension travel and allow the vehicle to be jacked up to get a tire off the ground. The weight of the Cayenne bouncing around on a trailer could do more damage to a locked up suspension than a free flowing one.

i didnt think it locked it out just mad it not want to adjust. so when the car is strapped down and the car feels it getting lower it doesnt want to pump the air up to get back to the height it wants to be at.

So...if it was getting lower with a tech laying under it you wouldn't want it to adjust off of him?

You would want it to stay at the same height if strapped to a trailer. If it started to sag and not keep itself level then it could loosen the tie downs.

well, thanks for input.
Car is gone, and so am I for that matter. Wonder when I will see the car...lol
Decided to put car in normal height and lock out suspension (justified it as for some reason if car decided to lower, it may looosen harness).
However the transport that picked it up harnessed by each tire, making that justification useless.
One thing I dont know is what the actual transporter service will do (the car was picked up by flat bed truck to be dropped off at transport company for transport in an enclosed vehicle). However there was no info on how exactly they secure their cars. So that is what I did.

Transporting the Cayenne by strapping down the tyres is the correct and only way it should be done.

Ciaka, what's happening to the Cayenne, have you sold it?

no way.

I relocated to CA, and the car is coming with me. The car transport takes up to couple weeks, and it left last Wednesday. I am hoping to see it next week. Will be nice to have it back. You never appreciate what you have until you cant use it. The rental I have makes me think back fondly about being in my own CTT.
She'll be back soon though.

The level control will switch itself back on automatically as soon as they drive the car forward to get it in the next transport.
