Hi all,

my wife recently picked up an 08 CTT things so far have been good. Recently though, while using the auto-close feature on the tailgate; the tailgate closes and then suddenly pops back open about an 1/8th of the way. It doesn't always do this but I can't seem to figure out any pattern as to when it works and when it doesn't. Has anyone had this issue before and what was the fix? I also tried holding the tailgate down as it shut but it still did the same thing. Thanks in advance!

Do you have the smart key/keyless entry? Like the buttons on the side of the door to lock and unlock?

Hmm, I asked because on the Audi I have the smart key and if I close the trunk with the key in my pocket sometimes it won't close because it thinks the key is stuck in the trunk. Try moving the key further away? It may still sense that the key is in the trunk?
