Idler pulley plastic cap removal
I am in the middle of replacing all the idler pulleys and serpentine belt on my wife's 957S. I got driver side done but the I am having trouble removing the plastic cap/cover on the idler pulley on the passenger side (left side one if you are facing the vehicle).
The space is very tight and the oil dip stick tube runs in front of it. Is there a trick on how to pry this off? any special tool? Any advice/tips from folks who have done this?
I did a search here and on rennlist.. but I found no threads.
Many thanks!!

This likely won't help at all but seems to be a pretty good write up on the process....http://www.pelicanparts.com/techarti...eplacement.htm
All they say is pop the cap off and remove the idler. Maybe a small plastic trim removal tool? Or since you are replacing it can you possibly thread a small screw into it and pull it out that way? Or possibly a 90degree dental pick? I don't know, just brainstorming.
I know what you mean about it being tight in there. I started to replace my power steering pump and the serpentine belt. I put things back together and am looking for a shop to do it now. I couldn't figure out how to get my hands in there to change out the PS lines and I could see doing the belt was gonna be a major pain especially by myself.

Thanks, Jdubbya, for the suggestions. Dental pick did come to my mind, but I was not sure where to find one. Anyways, this is how I popped the plastic cover off.
I used one of the long kitchen knifes (don't tell my wife) and held it right at the top of the cap and gave it a good whack with my other hand. The knife pierced thru the plastic cap and I was able to remove it. The cap was destroyed, but that was okay since I had a new one.
It really is tight there so once I got the bold loosened using the T-50 torx socket, I had to use an allen wrench to remove the pulley. It was slow but it worked. I had to wriggle the pulley around the dip stick tube (I removed the bolt that holds it at the top) and got the idler pulley replaced.
Glad it is all done.
