957 how to tighten the engine bolts in 3 turns?
Thank you for checking my questions, I have a 2008 cayenne S with a dying starter, I am preparing to replace it myself, the whole process seems easy but I got trapped in mounting them back with correct torque spec. Per the service manual, the fuel railway bolt should be tightened as follows.
What confused me is the 4th step by connecting to injector in 3 turns, I know there is a way of fasten the bolt by pre-tighten, loosen and final tighten. But the torque sequence seems wrong (What I think should be "25 Nm-3.7 Nm+2.5 Nm") and I don't have a torque wrench working in counterclockwise to loose the torque to specific number. I am confused with this instruction, wondering if the +2.5Nm or -3.7Nm is just a acceptable range. But I also see instruncions like "Tightening torque: 45 Nm (33 ftlb.)+8 Nm (+6 ftlb.)" Is this telling me to fastern the bolt in 2 steps? fisrt 45 then add to 53?
"
Any suggestion will be appreciated! Thanks.
