Xenon low beams stopped working headlights.

Xenon low beams stopped working headlights.
So I'm driving along a back road and these deer jumped out right in front of my 06 CTT-S. I NAILED the brakes. The cayenne stopped so freaking well that both of my headlights flew out. One of them hit the deer. lol (He was fine) One headlight was ok and the other was toast. Found headlights on ebay but they didn't have the ballast in them. Figured mine was working. Got the headlights. Put the guts of my previously working headlight into the replacements and now the low beams don't work. Bought a new pair of bulbs, no go. The wires that attach to the headlight appear brittle and the rubber has rubbed off. I believe they have shorted. So I separated them and hit the area that was affected with some clear silicone. Figured it would keep the wires from touching.
Still no headlights.
I need to fix this. What can I check next? Anyone have a headlight wiring diagram for this car? How about advice? I'm guessing my next move is to but replacement harnesses but I'd rather know for sure that will fix it before diving in. Have you ever lost your driving lights? How did you fix?

If your headlights flew out when you stabbed the brakes, then they weren't locked in. So seeing as you replaced them, they likely aren't fully seated and connecting to the wire harness that is there. They should never fly out when applying hard braking, usually not even if you hit something.
