955 Cayenne Rear hatch not fully closing.
Hey again everyone. I just bought a gen 1 Cayenne S for something to pull my boat. Runs great, but I'm getting some slight play in my rear hatch and get the dang beep and dash warning light when I take off. lock works with remote. Glass hatch seems fine. I installed a new tailgate hatch, but no difference at all. the last 1/4 inch will not fully close. I don't see anything blocking it. I have heard once that removing the lower hatch bar flap sometimes works, but only one post. This seems to be common, but I can't really find an answer. Does anyone know how to bypass the warning light? Like ground the sensor or add resistor on it, or anything at all? haha. It's in nice condition and I really like it, but the beeping is driving me nuts. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciate y'all. Thx

I figured it out. Surprised not a single person had a thought, but I replaced the bumper stops Part # 95551268101. I then adjusted the plastic tabs on ea. side (They hit the bumper stops) Mine needed to be loosened (adjusted to be longer) which seems strange because the rear hatch felt loose and I first thought the gate was getting blocked, but it was rattling and not closing because it was not sensing force against the hatch. It's all perfect now and no more dash light warning. Hope this helps anyone else. I have seen multiple posts about it, but no fix.
