2004 Cayenne S stuck in low range
Was in Line at Whataburger and like an idiot I decided to push the little switch forward towards the mountains well when I try to push the switch back to the pavement it tells me my four-wheel drive system is faulty so I've been driving 40 miles an hour at 5,000 RPMs for the last 3 months. it won't shift back into Road use. I removed the console and took a console from a different cayenne and plugged it in and that allowed me to go up into long range but still would not allow me to go back into the regular mode with no differential lock. For clarification neither of the switches allow me to go back into normal mode but one of them is allowing me to go into long differential lock. I checked all my fuses none of them are bad any ideas guys? Do I need to change the transfer case motor? If I do change transfer case motor do I need to get Porsche to reset the computer?
