GIAC for ECU either @ The Porsche Exchange up North in Highland Park, or @ Perfect Power with Sol. Wouldn't want any other shop doing it other than these two.
or
Revo (claims around 530HP) ECU flash @Midwest Eurosport in Bennsenville (630) 595-5577.
Add the Evo CAI's and Cat Bypass pipes and your lag all but fades away.
Been there done it and LOVE it- so there is the "real world experience" you are seeking and even some "local experience", and would never go back to stock.
Man, it seems like you have had cold feet and been ambivalent about this for like over 1/2 a year
Stop the mental masturbation and be like Nike and JUST DO IT!

I have to make a step in the right direction!!!!!! Actually I just put my lowering links on so i'm ready to do it up..However, the day I lowered it some rig threw a large rock into my driver door!! now I need a paint guy!! then yesterday at the dunkin doughnuts on damen and fullerton I hit the curb and have major rash on the OZ's.... I'm in need of a good paint guy in chicago for wheels and dents asap!!!

You will not regret doing the ECU upgrade or Cat-bypass or Evo Intakes, the only thing that hurts is the $$. It will all be about $3800 purchased and installed. But money that is well spent -provided you don't have other priorities.
