Joey,

I assume that you mean the 04 CTT for 53 K, yes?

That is the one I am now set to buy.

Yes, the 53k car. In the long run you will be MUCH happier. Same car overall, plus with some of the 21k savings you can go get yourself that burl wood steering wheel! I think it's the better choice, as there is a very little amount of reward for the extra money in the 74k car.

Still that's amazing. I wish the damned snow you melt so we could get our 550 out of damned garage already... we had it for two weeks before it started snowing. Now it's been over a month! Yikes. Hopefully all will be clear this weekend, because we are ready for take-off!

Go to the challenge races in Sonoma in April. I drove there last year and plan to go this year. It would be a nice Spring trip in a 550. I'm serious.

I am already mapping out my mod plan...GIAC ECU, Intake, dv's and cat delete.

I didn't want to say this at the risk of offending the CTT community, and please keep in mind the GT2 in my sig has ruined my driving expectations, but when I drive the CTT my mind is constantly saying "can't this thing please go any faster?....when are the turbos going to boost?" Of course I look at the tack and at 6K RPM I realize that the turbos are pretty much done...lol.

Has anyone upgraded to K'24's on their CTT's?

Steve, I'd LOVE to, but I don't think we can spare the time. I'm in school!

Curious about the cpo on the new CTT? Why if it's never been titled? Sorry if it's a stupid question. Just not following a CPO on a new car. The reason I ask is my dealer tried selling me a used pre titled CS as new. I didn't find out until I was in the box signing the paper's. I was looking forward to the great rate and it was 2% higher. I asked why and he said that rate was only for new cars. I asked who was buying a used one?? Boy was I surprised.

I am arranging to pick up the late model 04 (just got a clean car fax on it....it was built/completed on 1/31 04) w/ 27.5K miles for 53K this Sat. It is from a fellow 6speed member who has had all TSB's adressed. I think I am making the right decision.
I got this over the phone from Beverly Hills Porsche.

Technically it wasn't a CPO since the car was untitled. he just agreed to add 3 years of warranty (and tire/rim warranty) for 1.9K

So, back to my question several posts above: Has anyone upgraded to the K24 turbos? the K16's are tiny for a V-8...and low tech (oil cartridge) compared to the Garrett BB technology.

Best of luck with Momentum, those guys are idiots.

For those not in Houston, we happen to have two dealers owned by the same company, Sonic Automotive Group. These monopoly runned Porsche Dealers offer the worst customer service one can think of as they have the market cornered. Before this monopoly we had a PCA friendly dealer who offered nice discounts on parts and service, had tremendously well trained technitians and fair SA's. Yet since the "monopoly" friendliness has disappeared, customer service has worsened and I would think twice before I leave my car there for service unless I want a CSI type investigation for rape.

As I said, good luck and check service prices from those guys before you commit to those guys...
