Best of luck with Momentum, those guys are idiots.

For those not in Houston, we happen to have two dealers owned by the same company, Sonic Automotive Group. These monopoly runned Porsche Dealers offer the worst customer service one can think of as they have the market cornered. Before this monopoly we had a PCA friendly dealer who offered nice discounts on parts and service, had tremendously well trained technitians and fair SA's. Yet since the "monopoly" friendliness has disappeared, customer service has worsened and I would think twice before I leave my car there for service unless I want a CSI type investigation for rape.
Way back in 1979, when I was 17 and lived in Spring off Kuykendahl when it was first being built-up, I got a '69 Boss Mustang from the Porsche dealer my father bought his 911(s) from. They were on the service road next to I45 in Houston not far from the exit for Airline, and those guys were great.
They hunted for weeks for that car, and when a guy traded one in for a 911 at a dealer in Dallas they had it shipped down the next day and had it detailed for me a few days later after working with the Ford dealer down the road to get a few things fixed.
It has been a lifetime, but I always remembered the fabulous way they treated their customers. They were awesome.

In terms of a new car CPO, the dealer has the option of doing this if the car's been on the lot for a length of time. It's a loop hole, where they can claim that it wasn't titled, but was used either as a demo or a loaner. I had a left-over 04 and had it certified.

I believe that was Gullo-Haas Porsche... Sanjay Varma was a great guy selling Porsche in Houston, worked at Gullo and Momentum when they were at the tiny showroom next to the BMW... John Pappas sold me my current Boxster and he was great too... but since the monopoly thing things have gone sour...

I think your dealer needs to be more aggressive with their pricing. We got our Cayenne Turbo S for nearly 20 grand off this past November with only delivery miles on it.

I offered him 74 K and he declined.

I am arranging to pick up the late model 04 (just got a clean car fax on it....it was built/completed on 1/31 04) w/ 27.5K miles for 53K this Sat. It is from a fellow 6speed member who has had all TSB's adressed. I think I am making the right decision.
You are making the right decision; smart move.

I purchased from a guy here on 6speed (kdub). I wanted to post the link since it had lots of pics of the car, but apparently he deleted the link now that the car is sold.
