I'm towing with 22" OZ Canyons with absolutely no problems.
(Aluminum trailer with roughly a 2500lb car on it)
I don't have air suspension but am running H&R Springs. Car remains pretty level even under full load.

What do you do about potholes, when i'm driving i always slowdown alot pver them or avoid them altogether, but with a trailer you cant just stop quickly or swerve out of the way?

I guess I've been lucky. Most of my race car towing is on the highway, and I really take my time on regular streets.
I see that you're down here in S. Florida as well (I'm in Boca) so our roads are not that bad (compared to many other places out there).
Drive extra carefully when towing and you'll be fine.
(the only scarry exprience I've had was on my way to Sebring around Lake Okeechobee. There weren't many holes but the road was very bumpy and uneven. I could swear the trailer caught air at one point. Lets just say I don't take that route anymore)

As long as the grosss axle weight of the weight of the vehicle combined with the tongue weight of the trailer don't exceed the load capacity of the wheel I don't see a problem.

How do i figure out the load capacity of the wheel, is it by the rim or the tire? I am running 22 inch techarts with pirelli scorpion zero 295/30/22.

well those 295/30's have a load cap of 1929lbs... that's 3800 per axle. Assuming the 5000 pound cayenne has a few passengers and bags onboard call it 5600 pounds, and a tongue weight of?? 300 pounds?? So you've basically got about 2800 pounds on the rear axle, 300 more with the tongue. Call it 3200 pounds?? You're clear by 600 pounds. 285/35 would be better but 295/30 is still ok. You'd probably have to run norht of 40 psi though...
