They're slightly different. Same Fob, but have separate Lock & Unlock buttons, plus the same Hatch button.

It's the other way around, VW copied the Porsche keys.

You realize that when viewed from above (see top picture) that the fob is the profile of a Cayenne? Notice the headlights?

Actually, the 2006 model was the first year for the 3 button remotes, with a lock, unlock, and rear glass button.

I did notice that when I bought the car and I just shook my head. They spent all that time making a "cute" key fob but couldn't spend some time doing all auto windows, using Pioneer or Alpine for the navigation, the list could go on..

Hey, the RR Phantom FOB looks identical to the BMW 3/5 series fob. Talk about depressing.

I wonder if on the MY08 the trunk opens by itself... I know it closes by a push of a button but does it open also?

Hi, my 2005 Cayenne had 3 seperate buttons, too. Same fob like these on the pics...

IĀ“ve seen some pics of the new Cayenne key, but I couldnĀ“t find a difference.

Hi, nope. I wasnĀ“t right. I just checked some pics of my Cayenne keys, it only had TWO buttons.
The Range fob has three, thatĀ“s totally new for me...
