Anyone replace their xenon bulbs? -mod-

I did this mod on my 997 (replaced the xenon/gas bulb) and it looked amazing... it kept my headlights looking bluish at all times not only when cold (start up)...
Im starting to plan mods for my 08 CTT and was wondering if anyone did this to their cayennes?

I have no affiliation....

If 08 CTT use same size with 06 CTT. The OEM bulb size are D1S

I too was looking into this, which size is it for 997? and also arent these bi-Xenon meaning 2 bulbs in one?

Do you happen to have any pictures and of the lights and also which K rating did you go with. I dont want to road to be blue but like the bluish flicker

I've search with http://www.sylvania.com, 2006 997 also use D1S for low beam. Even bi-Xenon only has 1 Xenon bulb in each light housing. I will suggest 6K for the low beam. I've it on my TT and love it.

I beleive I got the D2S bulb 8000K which is the bluish one... the 6000k is purple-ish(ricey).
The headlights pop right out with the special tool.... easy install.

wow nice, how about the lighting on the ground is it bluish?

did you also change your fog light bulbs? Also didnt know you had to take out the entire light housing to change the bulb, is this the case?

The housing comes out no problem...it just locks back in... it was alot easier than expected... 15min job. I did replace my fogs with blue bulbs to match....

dont be sorry...thats why we are all here bro. Not sure the bulb model for the fogs (just take them out and match to a blue one.... You only replace the low beam (driving lights) so you need to order D1S bulbs... I recommend 8k which is blue-ish but not too blue, its the exact blue that you see with the stock bulbs right when you turn on your lights at cold start which then turns bright white.... but with the 8k it always remains blue-ish.
6k leans more towards a purple hugh which is not my taste.... and which might get a cops attention.... keep us posted on your progress.

they disturb the other drivers sometimes (those 8000K), and I hate people who mount aftermarket xenons to headlights WITHOUT bulbs

I think as long as you make sure the headlight is pointed down at regulation height then it shouldnt matter.... but I agree with you about people who put the aftermarket xenons on... but this is only a BULB replacement not the entire xenon.
