20" vs 21" on '08 CTT

hi folks. sorry i tried a search, but there's so many threads on what wheels to get, i was swimming in posts

originally ordered the '08 CTT with 20-inchers. but after seeing so many of the new 21" wheels in the metal, they look so much better. but i'm worried about how the degradation in ride quality.

here where I live, the roads are nothing at all as smooth as they are in Europe or the U.S. and the car will be a daily driver.

so... how much worse riding are the 21" wheels vs the 20" ones?

(for the above reason, going aftermarket wheels over 21" is simply NOT an option, even if this would improve the look of the car)

thanks all!

I would go 21", I dont think an inch differs that much with an Suv. Last week I was driving my relatives Escalade that comes stock with 22" wheels nothings wrong with the ride.

Do 20's. Ride quality is better and tires are cheaper. There's much better selection as well. But I'm a ride quality over appearance type of guy.....

ugh! now am thoroughly confused... left brain says go with 20's... but everytime I see the 21's, right brain says f*ck it all and go with the good looking new design wheels!

have tried twisting my dealer's arm to change my order to the 21's today... i guess i'll wait and see what they say...

i have the OEM 20's on my Jeep SRT8, and I have to say the ride is (surprisingly) more than passable for a daily driver. if the 21's on the CTT are at least that good, then definitely I can live with the 21's...

thanks for all the inputs guys!

Get the 21's, you will kick yourself when you see another with them. Why not get a set of both and then you could switch it up??

Keep in mind, that when the escalade is on 22's it still has ALOT of rubber.

A Cayenne on 21's is like an Escalade on 24's. A cayenne on 22's/23's is like an Escalade on 26's.
