2009 Cayenne?

I was thinking about what I'd like to have in a Cayenne... and thought WHY didn't Porsche do it for 2008??

1) Speed Yellow Cayenne... why not?

2) Pure Red Cayenne... they had the color in the Cayenne factory just 6 months ago, WHY did they shoot Pure Red for 6 months and stop?

3) Titanium parts and bit. Again... Porsche cranked up mfg of Titanium colored trim pieces, Roof Rails and wheels... but stopped using them after 6 months??

4) Black Matte body panels in the front, rear and sides? Why? Last time Porsche did this was 2003/2004 until they went with body color in 2005.

My answer? 2009. Porsche MUST be planning on letting some goodies out of the bag in 2009. In 2009 they might offer body colored lower body cladding (ala 2005) they might offer a Ti edition to use those bits and pieces in the warehouse. Pure Red... the cans of paint are in the storeroom, start shooting red and yellow Cayennes.

Bottom line...

Porsche is holding out on us. They want 2009 to be BETTER than 2008 so they have to offer more goodies! Maybe even OE Bluetooth!

Your predictions may be right. But I would rather get the car now to enjoy, than waiting for something that may or may not happen.

Russ,
Love the avatar! I never imagined you would look like that

Golden,
I had a red Titanium loaner the other day; it really is a beautful color, but my wife and I think that the Cayenne is too big to be Red or Speed Yellow (but definitely on a 911).

If you look at Porsche's track record, the Turbo S is "usually" the last year of that model. 964 Turbo S, then 993. 993 Turbo S, then 996. 996 Turbo S, then 997, same with the Cayenne. 2006 Turbo S, then the 2008 model. They will offer a power kit before a Turbo S.

Turbo S was a parts bin car. Too many left over power kits. I think the biggest surprise will be that theres no bluetooth again for 09 or 10. LOLOL They took Bose away as a standard feature in the Cayenne S!!!! They take more than the give!!! : )

This is just an observation in my area, but I see the Pure Red cars sit on the lot for a long time, and the same goes with the Turbo S.

While I think Pure Red is a nice looking color, personally I wouldn't want to drive a big Red car around all the time.
