Paging TTcarrera... RE: Magnaflow mufflers...

I have a friend who is looking to do a similar/same set up as you. What model and size muffler from Magnaflow did you use and what was the part number? Also any other details you can add that could help my friend out would be much appreciated.

On a side note... My good friend Simon just joined this board. (apex88) Please welcome him to our community when he gets his account activated and posts. He will be tracking his Cayenne later in June with me and I think that speaks volumes about how much of a motor head he is. He was one of my earliest P-car mentors and among my closest of friends... Wecome to 6speed Simon!!!!!

Sorry, don't know the part number or model.

Just tell your exhaust guy to put in the smallest Magnaflow mufflers he can. That's what I did, he put the car up on a lift and stared at the back end with his helper for 5 minutes, held up a muffler or two to judge the spacing and the piping he'd need and then went to work. About 2-3 hours, I waited at the Starbucks across the street.__________________

There are no Dunkin Donuts in the Northwest. There weren't many to begin with, but they've all failed and closed.

There are actually street corners in downtown Portland and Seattle with two Starbucks. There is an office tower in downtown Seattle with three in the lobbies.

I have a rooting interest in both: DD is a client and I'm a Starbucks stockholder.

I grew up in Boston and will drink Dunkin Donuts when I'm in NY or Boston on business. It's good coffee, but I'll go there ....even if there is a Strabucks across the street ........ primarily for the donuts. (When you need the police in Boston, do you still call the nearest Dunkin Donuts?).

Sorry, Starbucks is better. It's an acquired taste. Kind of like guys who grow up on Miller Lite who drink Pilsner Urquell for the first time .... they won't like it at first.

well as you probably have guessed my dad and I own 9 locations in and around the Boston area... my Dad started as a baker 35 years ago and is still invovled in the business today... Its true that DD is unfortunetly only strong in the New England area (over 5000 locations worldwide)... and Starbucks is a worldwide enterprise (over 20,000 stores worldwide). Hopefully that will change one day...

Allied Domecq is a good franchiser. Best of luck with your businesses.

Alan,

Thanks for the warm welcome to 6speed. I just got permission today to post. This is a fantastic forum. I didn't think there were that many P-finatics like us-there are loads of people that share the same passion!!

Thanks again for introducing the forum to me.
