I knew when I bought the car it would be bad but this is insane! I'm averaging 14.5 and live in a city with the HIGHEST gas prices in the US...Chicago. Average $4 per gallon. My next car needs to be Smart Car!

280-320 per tank.
when the gas price goes up to mid 3$, it's painful to go to the pump. :-(

Have not reset the computer, so the last few thousand miles are 16.0 exactly with a 28mph average. Heavy mix of around town with small percentage of highway.

Not sure if the gas tank is the same on a turbo, but I get about 280-300 miles every fill up, that puts me around 12mpg or so I think with 50% city and 50% highway and my occasionally heavy foot.

I think the GIAC computer might have helped some on the fuel consumption during light load driving.

I have a cayenne turboS, and I get 14.5 mpg in town and about 18 on the highway; not much worse than the S....

my average is 14.3mpg which 50% highway driving at canadian hwy speeds. driving at the speed limit, mileage is in the 15.5 mpg range. i have seen a high of 17.4 mpg for mostly highway driving and a low of 12 mpg for mostly city driving.

i actually got worse gas mileage from a cayenne v6 loaner. it was sooo slooow that i had to have the gas pedal flat to the floor most of the time and resort to manual shifting. mileage was in the high 13 mpg for 50% hwy driving.

we have higher fuel consumption here in canadian because of the liberal use of ethanol (up to 10% mix is allowed) for lower automotive emissions. i think mileage would be 5% better for using "pure" gas.

I doubt it is possible to do it consistently. The best I got was about 18.5 mpg and it was on a freeway on cruise control at 80 mph. This is on an '06 S by the way.

Once you start slowing down and speeding up the mileage just drops.
That's the way it is with these Cayennes. City driving I get about 12 mpg.

'08 S with 10,000 miles is getting 18.5-19 on hwy. If I keep it under 75mph it would probably get 20. I avg 17 around town driving. This is not via computer. I check milage using gallons used vs mileage
