Angry Custom Exhaust

So heres the story fellow members

I order my exhaust from Elite (hendradys guy) about 2.5 weeks ago price tag shipped $1800.00 for my V6

Custom tips as you can see below.

I recieved it today..very excited as you can all imagine i open the very very big box and ITS THE WRONG ONE. Its for the V8s so i say okay how do the tips look...well again if you look at the pic (i dont know if you can see it that well) the one tip looks beautiful the other has major chroming blemishes. So called phil no answer yet but well see what will be done..im hoping a credit of some kind and of course the CORRECT exhaust with a perfect tip.

Thanks

PS what do you guys think about the shipping?

These are pretty big

yeah, $1800 for muffler and tips it should be perfect. Frankly... these "custom" exhaust setups are extremely high profit. If you can find a "good" muffler shop that does all the local street rods they'll take a couple stainless steel flowmasters, magnaflows or whatever and bend a few pipes, make a few welds and VOILA! Custom exhaust.

Who did you order those exhausts and tips from? They're expensive! you didn't ask me anything about purchasing any custom exhausts. How could you say that it was recommended by me?

I don't mean to be rude, but when you say "hendrady's guy" next time, please make sure you talk to me prior to buying anything that you think I bought.

Now $1800 for those exhausts are expensive. Where'd u get them from and who? Where are you located?

Peter

By the look of it the bends aren't too extreme. When I had my custom exhaust done there were far more bends and it was no where near 1800.00.

I only see 4-6 bends plus the tips.

Seriously... get your money back. Buy 2x Stainless Magnaflows, have them attached with a t-pipe, attaching to the single exhaust pipe from the cat. Hangers welded on, add tips and you're money.

Thats alright, I didn't mean to be rude either. I recommend returning those exhausts. However, according to what GoldenPEPPA said "uy 2x Stainless Magnaflows". I wouldn't recommend that if you're looking for a deep throttling sound and a deep growling sound when parked. The magnaglows are more popular for sedans such as evo. It works BEST for evos actually. But as for the cayenne, you'd definitely want an "elite" (unless.. you dont want it loud). Return those v8 exhausts they sent you and get your money back! its too expensive.

I have the same exhaust as hendrady... which are "Elite" mufflers from AAA Exhausts. I believe I paid around $600-700 for the mufflers since I bought Fabspeed tips on my own... so $1800 is definitely too expensive if you are talking about the same mufflers we have.
