Any suggestion on preventing the swiral marks ?

Being this is the first time I own a Black (non-metallic) car, I never realize that everytime I wash and dry the pepper, no matter how careful I was, swiral marks always resulted. Anyone has any suggestion on how to remove and prevent them from happening ? I have always hose off the car with high pressure hose and I have been extremely gentle when it comes to wash and dry!

porter cable random orbital buffer with either wax or polish in between waxes. Also, if you use a clay bar it is amazing the shine that can be achieved separate and apart from the buffer.

Don't get black is the best suggestion I can think of, but it sounds like it's too late for that

Well, swirls are going to occur no matter what you do. Your main line of defense is minimizing them by using the correct two bucket washing method and only moving the mitt or pads in back and forth motions. In order to effectively remove heavy swirls, you need to have the car buffed by a professional. Check out www.autopia.org for more information.

Also invest in new towels and mits. Be sure to stick them in the wash machine without fabric softener after every use. Swirls come from dust and dirt on a towel they cause the scratches. Also get a California Car duster, wipe it down every time you take it out, or every other time. This will allow you to wash it every two weeks, the more its washed the more chances of swirls. Also get microfiber towels and Meguires Mist Spray detail. Use that in between washes to remove finger prints and dirt. I just clayed and used a orbitlal with Zymol HD Cleanse and Zymol Desting Glaze on my 996.. ... The results..

Swirls are scratches. Eliminate scratching surfaces and you minimize swirling. Clean washing mits rinsed several times during wash, clean drying towels washed regularly, cotton or microfiber only, and a quality polish and wax. I am a big fan or P21s however I recently switched to RejeX and am extremely pleased with the results.

3M makes a swirl remover for dark cars..most Pep Boys or Auto zone's handle it.

Lamb's wool mitt for washing. A claybar will get rid of the crap that causes small scratches. I use claybar with carwash soap as lube, not a detailer spray, you don't need to waste the detailer.
Microfiber towels are a must to dry. Terry cloth to wipe off polish or wax.
When you wax the sides, go top to bottom, not front to back, if there are the typical small surface scratches, it tricks the eye if they are up and down.

Try Zaino products for your car. They make a product Z5 for dark cars that also helps fill small swirls and scratches. Use this after you claybar car, then 3M swirl remover then the Z5, followed by Z6 from Zaino.

that new Tech Wax is hot

but a few tips, when you wax, don't go in a circular motion. Go w/ the wind.

Also get some good drying towels, www.properautocar.com a board sponsor has some AWESOME big blue microfiber towels. I own a few, one single towel will dry 2 cars
