Considering a 2011 Cayenne V6

Hello everyone!

Just got back from a dealer. I was told that I can get the truck in about 3 months. However there's no discount from MSRP, and a deposit of 5k is required. Is this normal at the current time?

This is likely a result of supply and demand. The Cayenne has been a hot seller, especially the V6. My dealer cannot keep any on the lot, as most of the V6 allotment has been spoken for. Now, after the Northeast Blizzard, the demand will likely rise. Which part of the country are you from?

I received a 5% discount off the MSRP of a V6, as a repeat Porsche customer, placing an order in July. If you can wait till after the winter, depending on what your situation and geographical demands are, you should be able to get a discount off the MSRP.

By the way, we really enjoy our Cayenne V6. Plenty of oomph, and great handling. With snow tires, it really hugs the icy roads.

It's totally a supply and demand issue. If you buy off the lot you get more discount. Haven't seen a single v6 at the dealer I got mine from

I just ordered a V6 Cayenne for my wife. Delivery will be Mid-March she got it pretty much loaded except for the proformance upgrades. I got a decent discount as well being a repeat customer, second porsche purchase this year. Have to agree with what the guys are saying supply and demand. It is my understanding that the Panamera and Cayenne are the only porsches really selling.

Get the truck you won't regret it,

dave-t

How is the new V6? I'm thinking of getting one for my girl as I hate her IS250.
Have the issues from prev. model resolved such as the coolant pipe? Is acceleration decent?

How ironic, that is what my wife and I are getting rid of for the V6 Cayenne we just ordered . She hates her is250awd and complains it is to slow and has no pickup.

The V6 is red hot. Local dealers here can;t keep them especially after the Cayenne was name SUV of the Year. V6 lots of style and comfort for the price. Of course they can;t keep Turbos and S in stock either...

I love my V6 Cayenne. It has plenty of power and handles great. Fuel mileage is between 18-22 mpg even in the frozen tundra. It is great in the snow and on ice. Porsche build quality, plenty of room, how can you beat it.

Yep. A to B is all she thinks a car is but still complains her 07 is250 awd is way too slow...and I agree...it's too slow. She can't seem to find a car she likes so I took her to a local Porsche dealer and is starting to like the cayenne. She wanted a sedan so I showed her the panamera and she walked straight towards the cayenne. I just wanted to maker sure the V6 is quicker than her is250 as she hasn't test driven one.

The V6 Cayenne is much faster hands down than the is250awd(204hp). My wife complains that the pickup is slow and merging onto the highway is not safe. When we test drove the V6 cayenne(300hp) the first thing my wife did was test the pickup and she was pleased. Prior to the is250 she owned a G35x(307hp) and commented the V6 Cayenne had the same type of exceleration as the infiniti. hope that helps.
