2011 V6 Turbo or SC
Call me crazy, but i've been pondering this now that my car is being build. I'd love to have the option to add a supercharger or turbo kit to my car in a few years. I've always been into modding my cars and I think that this would be a pretty incredible addition. I know, most will say, "just get CTT", but where's the fun in that. The way i see it, there's plently of room in the engine bay w/ the V6, and being that its a VW VR6 engine, they've been FI'd before. Hardware is always easy. Tuning might be difficult though. Thoughts everyone? Would someone like TPC Racing, EPL, etc, ever come out with a kit for the 2011 C V6?

there's a german company that's got a turbo kit for the 3.6l vr6 passat/r36 golf/touareg. they get 640 hp out of the engine!

there's a dutch guy thats gotten 1000 hp out of the engine, but he's basically rebuilt the whole thing

Yeah, it would be pretty awesome! I'm still researching and contacting various VW & Porsche tuners. Not sure if i'd achieve more power then the TT but I could come close. Just not sure how much daily drivability i'd sacrifice. Let me get this thing first and see how I like it stock...i'm kinda jumping the gun..LOL

Good idea GBX
I ordered a CS and planning to tune the engine bit by bit even if its an ECU upgrade should be fine with me.
please keep us posted on what you find and once i get my hands on my CS i'll post what i do to it

If you can overcome the following...........
Just came back from the Porsche dealership where we studied the base Cayenne V6, and the Cayenne S V8.
The V6 is certainly do-able. There is room for the centrifugal supercharger and we were also able to sketch out the routing of the charge air tubing including an air-to-air intercooler without too much difficulty. The factory crank pulley is small at under 6" in dia, but I saw we could add our own drive pulley on the nose of it.
The V8 was not at all the same story. The bifurcated intake uses two separate MAF sensors, and that complicates things immensely. We could not find room for the SC head unit, nor the tubing to it or from it.
In both cars, the question of the advanced engine management software poises concerns. We must be able to knock the fuel system off of Stoich to fuel the supercharger correctly, and I have some concerns that the Porsche engine management system will fight these changes tooth and nail. There is a fair amount of anti-theft circuitry in the system, and even the V6 model had 3 O2 sensors showing per bank!
In conclusion, we only really see the V6 model as plausible, and then that limits the market sharply.
Given that the V8 is only $10k more than the V6 on the used vehicle market – it does not make sense to supercharge. Now… the turbo was $35k more than the V8 – so an aftermarket kit does fit nicely into the price line and make some sense. If it was possible for us, which it is not.

if you can find away to make the kit a 5k price point, easy install, and 50-80 hp gain.......youve got a market on these things.
Especially since you can get a used v6 in the 15-25k range.....i wouldnt expect a daily driver out of these cars either........eventually the engine may cough up a rod or chew up a transmission........nature of the beast when forced induction is in play.
