Anybody replaced the US DOT yellow lights with clear? If so, what's the procedure?

 

I did and it is a PITA. The procedure is in the owners manual. Look in the maintenance section on how to change the light bulb. You have to undo 4 of the screws holding in the wheel well cover then take a flat head screw driver and wedge it in the long prong on the right of the lens and push out with the screw driver. Be careful that you are releasing the prong on the lens and not the frame of the truck. It takes some muscle and patients because you are doing it blind. It took me about 45 minutes for both sides 1 out of 10 difficultly rating I would say it is a 7.

Thanks, it's so easy to do it on the 911s.

 

First one a real pain. Second in five minutes because I knew exactly where to push. Number 25 torx driver and a long bladed screw driver is all you need. Use the new lens as a guide because it's all in the blind.
