2012 Cayenne

What's new/included in the new price if any, and how much is the base price going up?

I ordered a 2012 base Cayenne stick this past friday. Base price is $48,200 - up $500 from the 2011 MSRP. I am not aware of any additional standard features for 2012.

Hello ....everyone ..
New to the forum . Great place for my pre purchase research .
Ordered a base black luxor beige on friday . Base price has gone up to 48200.
Bose plus premium plus 2 package . I will post up my detailed build up soon .
Panoramic roof has gone up. I decided not to get it after some debate . My dealer suggested that it gets very hot here and the panoramic roof will not behelpful . My dealer here (southwest US ) tells me there is a great demand for cayenne and lots of unit are being manufactured for china and India . I was able to knock off 1000 bucks of the total price . It is a june build july or early august delivery .
Still debating about the thermal and noise insulating glasses . I have few more days before the order is locked .

My option pricing, including the panoramic roof, was exactly the same as 2011. The only change was the added $500 base. I have no info on invoice pricing.

First time ordering a cayenne as well. Quick question: ordered on 4/8 with 2011 price, what usually happens now that the MSRP has gone up? Will the dealer come back to add the $500 base increase?

Depends on your dealer. There was a ~$1000 increase between my order and the price when I took delivery, I didn't have to pay the increase. If you ordered a 2012, I would think u may have to pay the 2012 price.

Yikes, that's a +$1100 on base since launch.

I hope invoice hasn't moved much in this latest round, if anyone gets word of the figure please drop me a PM.

have you decided to go with/without thermal glass? does it automatically come with heavy tint? or can you ask them to leave it without tint?

Well, $1k for now... Mine was $46,700, price increase ~ late Dec to $47,700, and sounds like the 2012s are $48,200. A total of $1,500 increase since the launch.

I saw someone was selling a 5k/miles highly optioned 2011 V6, asking $2k off his MSRP (which I assume he got with his ordered discount- easier to find 4-5 months ago). It was sold just after a few days, pretty crazy the demand for these things... I love mine, so I guess I can relate...

Be aggressive. I was able to get a substantial (relative to what I am reading here) discount on my 2012 V6 order.

I guess the dealers in US, especially in Cali have more allocations and are more willing to negotiate on the price. Don't know if they know the same V6, even the slightly used 2011 ones are selling out for US$130-150K in China.

So what's the best discount you guys are able to get percentage wise for either the 2011/2012 orders? 5%? 10%?
