How long from Port to Dealer?

My Cayenne arrived in Rhode Island last Thursday (July 14) and is still not as my dealer (little more than 100 miles from the port). Why does it take so long? I would think that Porsche would prioritize sold units and get them to dealers ASAP. In the past, my ordered BMWs have made it from port to the dealer within a matter of 2 or 3 days from arrival.

Dealer was told today that the car would arrive there on Tuesday morning - 12 days after hitting Rhode Island.

they are ALWAYS backed up in rhode island, remember first in, first out....

mine took 2 weeks from davisville, the dealer cannot really rush it either... i've heard only way to rush is the dealer setting up their own transport, otherwise your at the will of davisville.

New wheels and tires arrived last night and the car arrived this morning. I dropped the wheels off at the dealer today so that they could install them and am hoping for an advance preview later tonight. Feeling a kid on Christmas Eve!

No - the red seatbelts were my wife's one permitted "splurge" option . . . plus, I find the red gauges hard to read. The red belts look even better in the rear seat with the three belts across.
