Tire and Rim insurance
#16
I have the Dealer Muti Shield protection pkg, cost me $2200.00
1. tire and wheels (cosmetic repair included)
2. door ding
3. windshield repair
4. Emergnecy roadside assistance
I mess up the front and rear driver side wheels. (light curb rash)
The only way to repair the 21" 911 wheel is to machine down the lip of the wheel. Dealer told me the wheel cant be bondo and painted, will never match.
Here is the pic of the machines lip.

I ended up opting for it as well, but paid slightly more than you did - $1500 for 60 months. It also covered dent and windshield repair. As for cosmetic repairs, it is debatable on whether it covers it or not. The fine print said:
To me it sounds like it is covered. I've read in other threads where the dealer covered curb rash. I'm hoping it is covered when the time comes where I need/want to the curb rash repaired.
Premier Tire & Wheel Protection provides for the repair of cosmetic damage to a wheel caused by a covered road hazard even in the event the wheel seals with the tire.

Just wanted to comment on this since it's been a while since I last commented on it. Like I mentioned, I have the tire warranty. It has been THE BEST investment in dealer warranty I have ever purchased. I have easily paid for the $2300 I paid for it in just 2.5yrs. I have had 3 tires replaced and the rims fixed from curb burn twice. It has easily exceed that warranty price. I would definitely buy it again on another Porsche for sure.
