Voice Control

Do I need this as I order my 2012 Cayenne S? Can I do any voice control without it, like "call XYZ"? Any feedback on this? I think it's a $600 option.

Thanks,

I wanted to order this but my dealer told me to sk this option. He said that the accuracy wasn't very good and thought my $$ was better spent on other options. I initially went along with it but changed my order later to include it. Primary reason was for phone calls as you indicate. I use the phone pretty regularly and wanted to just be able to speak the commands. I don't have the cayenne yet (less than 9 days from build complete) so I cannot talk about impressions.

I have it, works well but I rarely use it. If you were to use it with the phone a lot it would come in handy.

It is within out a doubt, one of the more impressive features of the PCM and is extremely accurate for dialing names

I think the dealer may think this is a waste of money and think this is not accurate because they didn't take the time to "train" the voice control. I found it in the options menu to train the voice control but have yet to do it. I'm sure it is much better at recognizing your voice once you have trained it. I'm sure the dealer sales guy did not spend the time to do this with the vehicle.
