Alright so I wanted to "stealth" my Cayenne up a bit as the silver lettering on the back was fairly loud to me.

So I went and bought a new set of decals(from Porsche) and then took them to a local body shop and had them painted matte black and then returned a few days later to have them installed, that took about 25 minutes.

Total cost was less than $150. $50 for badges, $100 for paint/prep/install.

Not bad compared to the fact the Porsche charges almost $600 for this from the factory.

So what do you think?

Looks great but same effect could have been achieved with a $5.95 can of plasti dip and some tape.

Love it. That looks clean and does tone down the flashy-ness quite a bit.

I got the badges from a local Porsche dealer. I initially looked online(Ebay and Google) and found some badges, mostly from European sites, then just because I was in the area went to a Porsche dealership and asked at the parts counter. They had both in stock, the prices were actually cheaper and I didn't have to deal with shipping, and it's O.E.

Is the rest of your car blacked out? Like did you get the black trim instead the default silver trim? And do you have black rims?

Mine is the satin black and looks good against the Jet Black Metallic.
