Installed EVOMsit on my CTT...

No...it is not "piggy backed", but a actual modified software file that is installed.
Cheers,
Robert

Big thanks to Alex@sharkwerks for getting a speedy delivery to me. Got my module via FedEx yesterday. Took about five minutes to install this AM.
Followed the instructions about cycling the car, warming up, etc...Then holy hell. Wow! The vehicle was fast before, but now it is insane. More immediate throttle response, more delivery in the power band. No official dyno of course, but this thing is really livened up with this mod.
Big, big recommendation on this product!
Thanks again Alex!

Ted,
The EVOMSit Power Module for the new Cayenne (92A) and Panamera (970) is installed independently without any tampering of the ECU. The ECU is never touched. If removed before the car is brought to a dealership, the tech or Porsche would never know. This was done just recently for a Panamera Turbo S client without any issues. This of course only relates to the DFI Cayenne and Panamera where the ECU is not touched.
I'm a long time Porsche master technician at the dealership level and I have never heard of the PWD (Porsche Watch Dog) program you speak of. In fact, I called my friends Mike (Service Manager) and Tom (Shop Foreman) at Porsche North Scottsdale, both tell me this "program" does not exist. If your dealer is claiming that there is indeed a PWD scan option, please have them email me at robert@evoms.com with the info. We all would love to learn something new if in fact it does exist.
The outgoing PIWIS and current PIWIS 2 scanner does have a vehicle analysis option which Porsche can request for a warranty claim. This can show power train abuse but very RARELY shows any ECU tampering or mods of any type. When there is an engine failure, Porsche will first call for a engine oil analysis by asking the dealer to send a sample of the oil and the oil filter. They do this first before any vehicle scanning. In all my years at the dealership level, I have only witness one refused claim for engine failure and that was due to the client not using Mobil One 0W-40.

This topic is following a predictable path
So back on track....
I got this mod on my 11' CTT along with the sharkwerks bypass pipes which adds another 30hp/tq to the 60 to 80 gains with the ecu software. At first I would say it was substantial gain and feel. But I had it done so long ago (10months), and now driving my GT2 around everything else feels slow. At times I am wondering if the evoms got disconnected because it feels so much slower. Maybe I need to unplug it for a while and then plug it back in for a better perspective on what it is doing again.
Also did some acceleratoin runs using my VBOX only after the mods, did not do them before. The best 60mph run I got was 4.5 , which is slower then what porsche claims it will do stock. I tried power braking to build up boost or just punching it off the line, the best result was just hitting the gas and letting it go. The most I have felt from these mods is passing speeds is much better, but from a dig its not really any better IMO.

Dude, I saw it with my own two eyes, not only once, but several times at the Porsche dealership. I've been doing this a long time, had 12-PCars over the last 30-years. Whether or not it was the older scan tool is up for debate but it was there for absolute sure and it came up with the the message, "ECU Tampered With", right in front of my face. Of course this was after Stephen at Imagine swore up and down there was no way the GIAC flash was detectable. You should have seen him, and others I won't mention, trying to back up after I proved it. I'm not interested in getting in a pissing match over this. I'm done.
However I warn all of you, don't believe everything these tuners tell you as truth. If you want to take the risk then go for it but just understand there could be warranty ramifications and I promise the dealer is not going call up and consult with "said tuner" before denying your claim. Just know what you're getting into. And also know when you go to sell a flashed car it can be requested and will show up on a PDI if a wise buyer asks for it. I know, I've done it several times.
And by the way you two, where were you "Porsche Technicians" at??? Was it a Certified Porsche Dealership??? What does "master Porsche technician at the dealership level", mean? Give me the names if so.
Dog and pony show...

We are just calling out your nonsense here. There is no watch dog. There is a protocol to approach warranty claims. There is not a program with a dog involved. However, if needed, not too difficult to figure out whether the car has SW on it or not. There is no dogs man. Maybe a different application?
Your point and concerns are very legitimate, I will not argue with you. My beef is with the PWD.
