12k miles here. She has been flawless in her performance. Had to top off oil just once. Curious how Gammaman knew that the oil level sensor was malfunctioning. Sometimes I worry if mine needs to be checked out as I read about how thirsty some other Cayennes could be.

The oil level was very erratic; at one point it read down a qt, so I added one and the gauge didn't change, same thing with 2nd qt so I added a 3rd and all of a sudden it's overfilled. That was when the dealer offered to flat bed it back to the shop, so at least they took care of me. One point that I still don't know is whether they changed the software when the owner's manual was revised to make it 2 qts from full to empty on the electronic dipstick, or if it should have been 2 qts. all along. At any rate, with 15k miles my oil consumption has definitely slowed down.

Problems so far:

- Drivers door seal replaced / solved
- TFT instrument display replaced / solved
- Gearbox Electronic module replaced / solved
- Oil sensor replaced / Solved
- Rattles from dash and door (Passenger side) / unsolved
- Engine vibration at 1800rpm through the steering wheel / Unsolved

Despite all the problems I still love it,

The steering wheel vibration is certainly felt at 1800 RPM. Does not bother me at all though. Thanks for the reply Gamma.
