Should I buy cayenne s without any discount?

I live in NY, and I talked our local dealer about Cayenne S, he told me that they wont get any cayenne S until March or April, which is a looong time for waiting. then I called another dealer, they said they can get me one in one week, but they wont give me any discount, which means I have to pay excatlly same amount as I built one on website. and he told me if I dont buy it now, and some one buys it, he wont get another one in 4 month. So what do you guys think? should i buy it?

Heard the same thing from two dealers here down south. I ordered a '12 S and managed to get 1500.00 off on a 100k CS. But, I bought my last 4 cars from them and regularly serviced them there so perhaps it was a courtesy discount. I wouldn't expect much. Dealers have few allocations and those cars that they do get on the lot that are not ordered by a customer are in demand.

I got 5% of my custom order in Sept 2010 during that small window period where dealers where offering discounts. Don't know if the economy is very much different or perhaps the the motor trend article had something to do with it, the same dealer is now selling at MSRP and is offering 2 to 3% off for their loyal customers. Just call around and see if any dealer if willing to give you a discount. But then you have to figure out if it is worth the hassle for just a small discount especially if you care about your relationship with the dealer who will eventually be servicing and trouble shooting problems in your Cayenne.

We're looking for a V6 and all 5 dealers in the vicinity wouldn't budge on the price. And their inventory is very low, basically only the fully loaded ones remains on the lot. So right now we're also debating if we should just order one and wait 4 months, but even then there's no discount.

So if you see one you like, I'd grab it and be done with it. Finding a car with the option you want is hard enough already, any discount you can get is just icing on the cake...

It really boils down to what you are comfortable paying. How bad do you want it? Only you will know the price you paid and you can tell your friends you got a great discount even if you paid full price. They'll never know.

You can explore by contacting dealers outside of your state although I found that they won't budge much unless you demonstrate real interest in purchasing from them.

I got a 6.5% discount for a 2012 Cayenne S that was on the lot and pretty loaded. They had just received the Cayenne on their lot with 2011 models still on the lot. Not sure why they were giving the discount....it was the first vehicle I had bought from them.

I just picked up my V6 a month ago. Order was placed since June. I shopped around in the tri state area. I ended up bought it from Jack Daniels NJ they could only offer me $500 discount even I ordered 2 cars. My business partner and I. Demand is much higher then supply. The salesperson claimed he could offer me much more discount on any car sitting in the lot. If you want that $500 discount, try them.

Ordered my 2011 Cayenne S. Got almost 7% off MSRP.

However, they are part of a large group that I have bought 35 cars with in the last 4 years.

I recently ordered a loaded CS ($101K MSRP) and was able to negotiate a 6% discount. This is a December build/January delivery.
