Air Suspension vs PASM?
#16
Hello All,
I am vacationing with my family in Korea, my hometown, and test drove 2 different Cayenne ; one with air sus + pdcc + PTV + turbo II, the other with steel spring + PTV + 21" sport edition.
My conclusion is... comfort wise I couldn't feel the difference between the two, except when I lowered the heights + sport mode. It was definately harsher than other settings. HOWEVER, body roll wise I felt pdcc is doing its job. Very limited body roll. Too bad pdcc only comes with air sus.
Maybe because one hour test drive is too short or I never had cayenne with steel spring before, I couldn't feel the air ride...
Good night you all.
It's 3 in the afternoon here and I am heading out for sushi.
For those who didn't know, fat content in fish is the highest in winter, so sushi tastes better in winter than other seasons of the year. Enjoy unless you are not a fan of sushi.

Air Suspension vs PASM
I looked into buying a Cayenne S today. I may have misunderstood the dealer. I thought that the Air Suspension was mainly for off road use giving the Cayenne more clearance when needed. The PASM was explained as changing the stiffness of the suspension mainly for highway use.
Is this a correct understanding?
We are looking for a vehicle to tow our RS America to the track and for off road use. By off road use, we are not looking for Unimog performance, we would like to explore old logging roads for example.

Definitely go with the Air suspension and PASM. You're correct the air suspension raises and lowers the height of the vehicle and the PASM adjusts the firmness of the ride. Air suspensions is perfect for towing as it will auto level the rear of the rear of the vehicle dependent on the trailer weight.
