Wheel arch extensions and running boards...

Finally got Porsche of Stratham to install wheel arch extensions (for my 21" GTS Summer wheels) and running boards on my 2012 Cayenne S. It was totally worth having it professionally installed, as it comes with factory warranty.

Sorry to resurrect this slightly old post...how much labor was it to have the wheel arch extensions installed. I'm getting some pretty high estimates.

Now that you've had them for a while, would you do it again?

Its not all that hard. I know the fronts are mostly clips with I believe only one real screw.

Great, thanks guys. I think they are confusing it with the off road arches.

TighTT did you do the install yourself?

No, my body shop did...but I was present/helping for about half the install. I also sanded, primed, and painted my arches.

Quick question, was the $297.00 for the wheel arches extensions only or for the running boards as well?

My dealer is quoting me $600-700 for installing the extensions...

Shopping around was worth it

Quote for installation of wheel arch extensions this month:

local Porsche dealer who sold me the car: $775
local high-end body shop: $475
other local high-end body shop: $300
(with free pick-up and delivery and free installation of new side marker lenses)

BTW, the arches really do look great with the new 21 x 10 rims.

Quite a difference in quotes, the OP payed around $300 from his dealer, I guess I will have to shop around. Thanks for the info.
