Remove minor scratches in clear coat

I have a few minor clear coat marks in my new 2012 jet black Cayenne. I have owned black cars my whole life, so I knew what i was getting into with the color. Anyone have any suggestions on a good scratch remover which I can apply by hand? I tired Meguires Scrach X 2.0 which worked "ok" but I was wondering if anyone had any experiences with compounds which can be applied by hand to get our minor clear coat marks.

Thanks!

Thanks. I used Zaino on my old black BMW, but it has been a while. I will order some of their Z5 and scratch remover. I appreciate the info.

Sure I've used it for years and I've only gotten excellent results. I always use the z-6 or z-8 for inbetween cleaning of water spots or minor dirt on the paint. You should consider ordering those also. A little expensive compared to the ones you buy at the auto store, but try it once, you won't be disappointed. Again, I've used it for years and years.

Zaino is great. It's hard work to start and easy street after that. I love it

I've actually only used the Z5 before. I've used it because I've always had darker metallic painted cars like black and midnight blues. I've had excellent results. Not sure about the Z-PC never used it.

Thank you. I assume you apply by hand right?

You cannot remove scratches permanently by hand, these products basically "fill" the scratches and they would appear again after couple washes or so, what you need to do is machine polish the finish by using a light to medium polish (depending on the condition of the finish) with a proper pad for that polish. This is the proper way to do it .
