Thumbs up Ape checking in

Hi,

I am Ape and I just took delivery of my Feb-built Cayenne V6 with options other than sport package. I guess I am also a victim of paying the sticker for my pig for not doing homework . I have been a BMW fanatic all my life as we own and had leased several BMWs in the household. Unsatisfied with the driving experience of my '11 X5 50i with roughly 10000 miles, I ordered the pig for the sake of it, without any test drive or clue what P cars are about - as you know I am a Bimmer all my life. Without any expectation for this Pig, the Pig had impressed me in every way except for one aspect - power. This is how my X5 should have been built and designed in terms of handling dynamics.

Congratulations on the wonderful purchase.
My advice is DON'T drive the turbo, because you'll be so frustrated you don't have one if you do.
Your v6 is perfect, enjoy in good health!

Then why did you get a v6 if you came from an X5 5.0. Should have gotten an S or Turbo.

Why didn't I get a S or Turbo? Well, pricing is always the first factor I consider. To begin, pricing of a well-equipped X5 50i (e.g., premium, tech, cold weather, sport package, four-zone air, and active steering) is about the same as a comparably equipped Cayenne V6 (e.g., mine has a little bit less). With negotiation flexibility being the same as my 50i, I definitely will go for the "S", which has marginal pricing negotiation. This is the main reason. I'll update with my first 80-mile impression a little later, compared to my 50i, 335, and 128.

V6 is a very nice car. I'm sure you'll enjoy it.

There are other models if you have a need for more power.
