PCM audio format & track language display
My 12' Cayenne PCM software ver 3.4 cannot play wma lossless files via USB. However, the operating manual says it support wma lossless.
Another annoyance is the PCM cannot display track list in foreign language/characters. Shows up as ???
Anyone experienced same or know the fix?

I've seen photos of a Chinese PCM and it does display Chinese characters for song titles, but everything else is in Chinese, include the navigation maps. It's more than just a language setting change, looks like a completely different firmware for the PCM. So you may need to source the firmware for whatever language you're looking for.

You can set the round LCD screen in front of the driver into a different language than the PCM screen, so the song names, titles, etc can be displayed in the language you want, but the PCM screen will still display everything in English. I set my round LCD screen in Chinese to display my songs played through iPod, interestingly, when I set it to Chinese, it can display both Chinese and English song info, but not vice versa. Chinese is not available on the main PCM screen, so I keep it in English.

I know you can set foreign language on the Multi-Purpose display and track titles will be displayed properly. But this makes all the menus on the mulit-purpose display shown in that foreign language chosen too.
Don't want a PCM in Chinese. All I want is for mp3 files to display track names in the common foreign languages supported by current PC or MAC systems. This should really be a simple software thing and even my 09' built Mercedes with standard audio system can do this. Expect better from Porsche.
Also, the lack of WMA or other lossless format support is silly. Hope they come up with a PCM software/firmware update soon.
Aside from these - I still love the car!

Porsche is more into performance and advanced engineering. I must say, for everyday use, other luxury brands such as MB & BMW have better infotain system. My 10 years old Acura MDX has better navigation system than the Panamera.
