How do you wash your roof?

what do you guys use to wash the roof of your car. Currently i've been using a step stool which is a pain since i have to move it all around the vehicle when washing. Anyone have a good sponge on an extended handle that they use...or any other thoughts?

Thanks!

I had a car wash guy try to stand on my rear tire and in the process, put his knee into my fender. Dont do it that way..

Wow, I'd go ballistic if I saw that.

I use one of these Rubbermaid step stools:
Amazon Amazon

What I like about it is that one side is vertical, so I can get it very close to the car. Height is perfect for cleaning the cayenne's roof too. I usually hit the top with the foam gun, then using the step ladder wipe it down (I usually have to reposition it twice on each side, and once for the back). Because I'm constantly re-washing my mitt, I feel it's way easier to use the step ladder than something on an extension pole. Gives me more control too, because I can see what I'm doing better.

I put the truck in loading mode (lowest setting on air suspension) and can reach quite easily that way. If no air suspension, Griots Garage used to sell a really nice boars hair brush (that I still use) with an optional broom-handle extension. The boars hair is great because it's a soft hair and releases dirt as soon as it hits the water/bucket...it won't hold the dirt like a traditional sponge or even microfiber.

Just curious, what kind of washing equipment does everyone use to wash your P!G? Can someone suggest a good pressure washer for a reasonable price? Can I use pressure washer to wash the P!G?

our local carwash has two ramps along side the conveyor belt. So when the car rides through, two guys on the ramp uses some mop soaked with soap to wash the top, and then get hosed off by the machine.

But I like the option WFBlue provides. I'd be able to wash my house when I wash the car.

Easy for tall people, but I stand on the rear tire for the back half and then the running board is used for the front section.

Cheers,

I use a folding aluminum platform such as this:

Works great, don't have to move it around as much as a stool.

I've washed my cars twice since owning it for 1 month, and forgot to wash the roof because of how high it is.

I use a pressure washer on the rims (brake dust), on the black air dam beneath the front bumper cover (bugs), and - if necessary - on the black trim below the doors (mud). Everything else gets hand washed.
