I just ordered my new GTS in Australia with roof rails but not the Porsche crossbars as they sit very high and in my opinion make away from the sporty look of the GT$.

What other options do people have experience with that sit as close to the rails as possible and are quiet in regard to wind noise?

I have some low profile Thule crossbars. They are supposed to be 'whisper' quiet but you do get a bit of wind noise. I don't leave them on full time though so it isn't an issue. They go on in less than 5 minutes

 

do you have sun roof? check clearance with carrier before you decide.

 

I have ordered the panoramic roof. What model of Thule cross bars do you have that are so easy to install? My best options is to have a bar that I can put on once week and not leave any marks when removed.

 

They are the Thule AeroBlades. They are pretty easy to take on and off but you still need to take care. If they slip out of your hand they can still drop and scratch the paint. Work fine with the panoramic roof though. I can fully open it with the bars on.
