Blizzak DM-v1 or Pirelli Scorpion Ice and Snow's

For my Cayenne S with 20" Spyder's? I live in NYC and drive out to the burbs and possible to VT but realistically only see a few days of snow a season, unless of course it snows often. So, more driving during the season is on dry pavement. Pirelli's look nicer. Do they handle better on dry pavement during the winter?

I had the perelli's on my GTS and LOVED them.
Performed great on dry roads, and then when I hit a blizzard they were flawless.
I tried dunlops this year but they are a bit harder I can tell an not "as" grippy on snow, but better on dry roads.
If I had a recommendation I'd get the scorpion ice and snows.

Good luck

I just put Pirelli ice and snow 21 on my CTT
There is a new Pirelli Winter just out with a somewhat more aggressive winter tread pattern.
Neither tire is rated N by Porsche even though my dealer got and mounted the tires, but my wheel and tire warranty covers the ice and snows

I stopped using winter tires after reading this report. 5 days of snow driving is not worth the performance lost for cold dry and wet roads with winter tires.

All seasons for me.

I suppose everyone likes what they have tried with success. There probably aren't too many people that have tried different brands back to back.I used the Blizzaks last winter (20") and really liked them. Our 2011 Cayenne S was very good in the snow with all seasons, but phenomenol with the Blizzaks.

Not sure I agree. I drove my CS w all seasons last winter and on a couple of occasions, I felt some slipage where I shouldn't have. Didn't feel all that secure.

Totally agree that all seasons can really be an issue with a good storm.
Tread design just cannot do it

Got 4 inches wet heavy snow in NY
Got an early test for my new Pirellis
Great grip and zero traction issues
Tread make quite an depression in the snow
