Wheels Arches and Lower Trim Painting in Socal (Orange County Area)?
Hi All,
New to the Cayenne forum -- but not to Porsche's or 6speed, and I was hoping for some advice regarding my wife's new Cayenne S Hybrid.
The car is white, and I really think it would look better with the arches and lower trim painted to match the rest of the car. So I have a couple questions for the forum:
1) Anyone have a good paint shop in Orange County, CA that won't gouge me for the paint work?
2) Anyone experience any issues with painting these pieces -- I'm hoping not as I've seen the arches painted as a factory option (most recently on Silver Turbo at the LA Auto Show), but I am unsure about how the rest of the trim with hold up over time if it is painted.
I should add: a lot of this is due to the fact that I am upgrading to 21" Sport Design wheels tomorrow, and I think I'm going to end up buying the flared arches -- hence why I got to thinking I might as well paint 'em.
Thanks in advance for any advice/shop recommendations you guys can offer.

Greetings from YL!
We have the same color- white for our Cayenne. Was thinking to paint the blk trim too, but decided not too, because it gets dirty easily. But to answer your question.
I had experiences with the following shops:
1. http://www.lahabracollisioncenter.com - I used them to install some exterior accessaries on my other car. Honest, straight shop. They checked if they can do it before quoting the price.
2. http://www.solesbeeauto.com- My car was in the accident, used them as the repair shop. After the accident, I had the car for another 6 months. The repair area stays bright and shiny like new car.
Shops with good review:
http://www.fixmybumper.com/
http://www.ocbumperandbody.com/
I would suggest visit the shops yourself, talk to people there, get the feel of who they are and how they do the job.
Good luck~
