Just bought one, a diesel!

Been a member a while, but not an active one.

Just got a '13 diesel. Replaced the Expedition that I tow my track only 370z with.

Congrats! I'm about to sign some paperwork on a '13 GTS and have been lurking for awhile. The Diesel looks pretty darn impressive. Post any pics?

Mike, congrats.. I'm sure you'll be more than pleased with the buy. I'm now just under 4K miles on my diesel, and the more I drive it, the more I like it. Sometimes I still find myself scratching my head at the thought that Porsche built an oil burner that's as impressive as the CD is.

Base 18s. Still on right now, but it's a lease so I'm just storing them til I turn the car in.

Just did 515 miles from Atlanta to New Orleans. avg spd, 75mph and 29.5 mpg. Still have 233 miles range left too!

I'm gonna love this truck!

Question

Do you have to make any modifications to the vehicle to go from 18" stocks to 22" aftermarkets? Spacers, fender flares, etc.?

No, as long as you stay with the same overall outer tire dimensions and proper offestsm there will be no problems. I'm going from 255/55-18 to 265/35-22 which are the same outer size.

Manually calculate the overall MPG yourself when you fill it up. You'll find that it differs and it is disappointing to find you are getting less than it reports

At my first fill up the CD reported I had averaged 26.4, but calculating it out I only got 24.5. The second full up was about the same (half tank) and filling up on the road (VA to FL) showed 26.9 vs the reported 28.0.

I'm still thrilled with mine (I had a cargo box on for the trip and it still did 27mpg!!), but you can't just believe what it tells you.
